Letter to prospective dealers or distributors from Bart Leavitt, President

 

Thank you for your interest in Taurus Salt Company. Taurus is a well established livestock supplement manufacturer and distributor in business since 1952. Our long-standing distribution relationship with Redmond Minerals mining company of Redmond Utah and an appreciation for the quality natural salt produced from this mine lead us recently to establish a packaging facility near the mine. This proximity gives us the ability to offer a line of products made from this unique salt that we affectionately refer to as sea salt for livestock. Our new plant is an efficient state of the art facility with a 750 ton press.

In todays competitive agriculture market much emphasis is made on price alone and little is done to distinguish one product from another.  We are pleased to be able to break from this tradition and offer you advantages as follows:

- We manufacture a Natural Trace Mineral salt product line that is unlike any other.

- We add no dyes or any other non-nutritional item to our products...the distinct formulations are identified by their names and color-coded labels.

- In addition to salt formulations we also manufacture quality livestock minerals

- We will shortly have available some new and innovative livestock minerals such as protein supplements and Bovatec block.

- Our mixing equipment is a batch system giving us the capability to custom formulate in 2 ton quantities for either bags or blocks.

- You also can be an outlet for the world-famous organic Real Salt Products for people. These products prove to be productive as an add-on sale for your store walk-in traffic.

- These unique value added products allow you to distance yourself from the competition and the all too common price war where no one wins, not even the consumer in the long run.

- We are able to provide support through sales staff, mailers, posters, nutritional information, local trade show representation, and producer meetings.

We have territories open for new dealers:

 

- Minimum order for dealer price: 5 tons

 

- Minimum order sizes for distributor pricing: Full Truckloads only

 

- Full truckload orders must be flexible 20 to 30 tons depending on the truck.

 

- We can handle freight arrangements but encourage you to do this on your own if possible.

 

- Terms: 2% cash discount , Net 30 on account.

 

- No charge for pallets. They remain the property of Taurus Salt and will be picked up at a later date with no charge to customer.
